Strange Laws in the U.S. New Hampshire: You can’t help clean this park. Anyone who will be caught picking litter, repairing benches or raking the beaches without a permit in White Mountain National Forest will be found guilty of ‘maintaining the park without a permit,’ and will be fined $150.

Friday Notes

  • There is Christmas Eve rehearsal again this Sunday. Practice will begin after church and go until about 1:00.
  • Our annual Northtown Mall concert is next Friday, December 15, at 2:00 p.m. The children should wear black bottoms and white tops. We will also need one more driver to help transport the students to the mall.
  • We will be singing in church for the Candlelight service on Wednesday, December 20 at 7:00 in the evening. This service is preceded by a Christmas meal at 6:00 to which everyone is invited.
  • Our Christmas party will be on Friday, December 22. Lunch will be provided. A note from the party hosts: “The Christmas party this year will have a little twist: an ugly sweater contest. Wear your most festive ugly sweater for a chance to win a prize. Don’t have an ugly sweater? There will be prizes for most red and most green as well!”
  • A reminder that the cost of gifts for the gift exchange should not exceed $10/person. Gifts may be brought to school anytime the week of December 18.

**STUDENT SPOTLIGHT**

Isaiah – 4th grade When it comes to school, the most challenging thing for me is: reading because it’s boring. Three words that describe me: smart, tricky, imaginative In my spare time I like to: read, draw, invent. My favorite hobby: inventing In the future, I’d like to: invent.
