Friday Fun

Did you know before becoming the 40th American president, Ronald Reagan served as a lifeguard and saved 77 people from drowning!

Friday Notes

  • Mid-term grades were sent home today. Please initial them and return to school on Monday.
  • We received the pictures from Sam’s Club but we are not happy with how they turned out. We are going to give you the pictures that you ordered and return your money. If you paid with a check, that will be shredded. If you would like to have the digital copy and then reprint them yourselves, please let Mrs. Hein know.
  • Mrs. Nelson still needs two shoeboxes. Please speak with her if you have any that you would be willing to give.
  • If you have not done so yet, please let Mrs. Hein know ASAP if your children will be participating in the Christmas Eve service. We need to get the parts assigned so we can begin working on the memory work. The service is on Saturday, December 24, at 6:00 p.m.
  • The following poem was written by one of our students. The assignment was to write a free verse poem using ten autumn words.
Fall can be a wonderful time
With the leaves and the fields and
          the breeze.
A scarecrow watches over apples, pumpkins, and corn.
Trees provide shelter from the cool wind, but a jacket works just as well.
There are colors everywhere, in the leaves or even in
a Thanksgiving feast with the turkey to eat.
Fall can be a wonderful time.

On Wednesday, the Fridley Fire department came for a visit.
