Friday Notes
❖ The Bible/Hymnology Student Fair is TONIGHT! The children should be at school by 6:45 p.m. The Fair begins at 7:00. Parents are asked to bring some sort of refreshments for afterwards.
❖
On Sunday, April 13, we will be singing our Palm Sunday concert during the 10:00 church service. This is our big spring singing opportunity and we have worked really hard on learning the songs.
The children should wear black bottoms and white tops, like we do for Northtown. We would like to encourage everyone to be at church for this. The children should be at church by 9:40 a.m.
Our school is once again participating in the American Heart Association’s Kids’ Heart Challenge. During the month of April, we will be learning about the many ways we can help our hearts stay healthy. We are hoping that many students will take “Finn’s Mission” online this year and learn how to recognize signs of stroke and do hands-only CPR as well as other heart-healthy
skills. Registration details went home with your students this week along with a jump rope which is a great activity to get your heart pumping while you’re jumping. Fundraising is optional but always appreciated. We will culminate with a one-mile fun run at the end of the month which is a great way to keep your heart healthy! For more information, please download the AHA Schools app
or visit heart.org/schools.

**Student Scoop**
In Mrs. Nelson’s classroom, we did an experiment by putting an egg(we named it Egbert) in vinegar. Some kids thought that the egg wouldbounce, but it
didn’t. It cracked. The student fair is tonight. It is about Biblestories and songs. Mrs. Nelson’s and Mrs. Wales’s
classroom didn’t have to dosongs, only the 5-8 graders.3
