Friday Fun
Strange Laws in the U.S.
Nebraska:
Barbers are not allowed to eat onions between 7 am and 12 am.
This crazy law was enacted in the city of Waterloo back
in 1910. It was likely
passed because most people didn’t want barbers with smelly breath
being so close to them during their haircuts.
Friday Notes
- We are singing in church this Sunday, November 19. If your children are not at Sunday School at 9:00, please make sure that they are at church by 9:40 a.m. so we can go through the song
before the service.
- Thanksgiving break will begin next Wednesday, November 22. Please be at school to pick up your children by noon. School will resume on Monday, November 27.
- Names will be drawn next week for our Christmas gift exchange which is on Friday, December 22. We ask that cost of gifts bought does not exceed $10/person.
- After Thanksgiving we will be starting to work on our Christmas Eve recitations. The children that are participating in the service will have booklets here at school and one copy/family
will be sent home, so you have a copy there as well. Sunday rehearsals will begin on Sunday, December 3 and will be from 11:30a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
