Friday Fun

Strange Laws in the U.S. Missouri: You cannot have a yard sale in your front yard. In University City, the city officials have made it illegal for any person to offer for sale any household goods in a yard or garage in front of the building line of the house or building in which the person resides.

Friday Notes

  • Mid-term grades were sent home today. Please initial the bottom of the papers and return them in the folder on Monday.
  • In recent years, we have had the Fridley Fire Department come to school for a visit and show the students the fire truck. This year, we are going to take a short field trip over to the fire station instead. This is tentatively planned for the morning of Monday, November 13. It will only be about 30 minutes or so. A permission slip will be sent home sometime next week.
  • We will be singing in church on Sunday, November 19. Please make sure that this is on your calendar. It would be great to have all of the children participate.
  • On Wednesday, November 22, we will have a half day of school. Before we dismiss that day, the students will be drawing names for the school Christmas party. Prior to drawing names, each student will have filled out a sheet with three ideas/interests to help give ideas to the person who picks their name. We ask that any gift that is bought does not exceed $10/person.
