Friday Fun

Take a letter away from an eight letter word and make a new word. Keep taking one letter away, making a word each time until you are left with a single letter which is also a word.

Friday Notes

  • Mid-term grades were sent home today. Please look them over with your children so that they are aware of areas they might need to improve before report cards come out in three weeks. Also, we ask that a parent initial at the bottom and return the papers and green folder to school on Monday.
  • We will be singing in church this Sunday. Sunday School and Bible Class are at 9:00 with the service following at 10:00. If you are not here for Sunday School, please have your child to church by 9:40 so that we can go through the hymn before the service. Following the church service, everyone is invited to stay for the annual church picnic.
  • Reminder: Our first field trip is on Tuesday, September 24. Remember that this is an added kindergarten day. All students should be at school at the normal start time. Leaving time is yet to be determined but will likely be somewhere around 9:00. Lunches should be sent to school in paper bags with only disposable utensils so that we do not have to worry about getting dishes or lunch boxes back to school. Pick up time will be as normal.
  • On Monday, September 23, 7:00 p.m., we will have our annual Parent’s Night. The parents will go around the school from classroom to classroom finding out what’s new for this school year. Refreshments will be provided by the teachers. It should not last more than an hour.
