Friday Fun

It takes ten men ten hours to build a certain wall. How long does it take five men to build the same wall?

Friday Notes

  • Last week’s Friday Fun:
    I have a name that’s not mine; and no one cares
    about me in their prime. People cry at my sight;
    and lie by me all day and night. What am I?
    Answer: A tombstone
  • The children will be singing with the choir on Sunday, October 11 (Feed My Sheep). Because of this, the choir director would like them to be at the choir rehearsal this Sunday morning at 8:45 as well as the morning of the 11th.
  • On Monday, October 12, there will be no school due to Parent/Teacher conferences. When scheduling, please allow 15min./child. You may schedule anywhere between 8:30 and 2:30. Please let Mrs. Hein know of your time selection.
  • Tuesday, October 13 is our fall field trip to the Pavek Museum of Broadcasting. We will probably leave around 9:15 and return by 2:00 after which you may take your children home.
    “Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. You are listening to the crystal clear sounds of KPAV!” So begins another radio show for another excited group of elementary school children participating in a Broadcast Workshop. Designed for children grades four through six (and will be adapted for our K-8 group), the Broadcast Workshop program helps students learn the history of electronic communication while creating their own 1960s-style radio broadcasts and participating in a TV quiz show.
    If you are interested in chaperoning, please let Mrs. Hein know.
  • Picture order forms were sent home today. Please fill these out and return to school with your money on Monday, if possible. If writing a check, please make it out to Grace Lutheran School.

For the Record

What do you like about school?
Cole:
I like that we get to eat a snack every day.
