Friday Fun

Using only addition, how do you add eight 8’s and get the number 1000?

Friday Notes

  • Last week’s Friday Fun:
Is an older one-hundred dollar bill worth more than a newer one?
Answer: Yes. A one-hundred dollar bill is worth more than a one dollar bill.
  • Please join us on Monday for our annual open house at 7:00 p.m. The teachers will be providing refreshments.
  • If you have not paid your school fees ($50/child) yet, please remember to do so. The money from your school fees goes to buy copy paper, pencils, notebooks, Kleenex, soap, disinfectant wipes, etc.
  • If you have been saving Box Tops for Education, please bring them to school soon so that they can be sent in by the October 2 deadline. If you are not saving them, please consider doing so. It’s easy money for our school that we use to pay for field trips, supplies, and other items.
  • We did get signed up with the Kwik Trip Moola milk cap program. If you buy your milk there, you can now bring in your washed milk caps.

For the Record

What do you like about school?
Matthew: I like that I finally get to use a calculator in math.
(Note: calculators are not allowable until 7th grade)
